About the Palette Gardener

Gardens, wildlife, and the natural world have always played a central role in my life, shaped by growing up around keen gardeners and creatives with a strong hands-on work ethic. Although this path wasn’t immediately obvious, it quietly informed my creative journey from the beginning.

In 2018, the purchase of our first home marked a turning point. Where many see a blank new-build garden as daunting, I saw possibility. Over the following years, that bare plot was transformed into a contemporary, immersive garden, designed and built with the support of family and friends. Completing that space sparked something unmistakable — a desire to create meaningful gardens for others.

Seven years on, I have built extensive experience within the horticultural industry and now proudly work as Founder and Lead Designer of the Palette Gardener, a garden and planting design practice based in Lancashire.

In the studio’s first year, I exhibited at the prestigious RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse 2025, where my debut show garden was awarded an RHS Gold Medal — a defining milestone in my professional journey. Further displays followed at Chorley Flower Show and Southport Flower Show, alongside the permanent relocation of my show garden within the local community.

Today, my work spans a growing portfolio of thoughtfully designed private gardens across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Denbighshire, each shaped by a balance of creativity, practicality, and carefully considered planting. I work closely with clients to design outdoor spaces that feel personal, immersive and deeply connected to the way they live.
